The same Spanish word can have completely different meanings in the various Spanish speaking countries. Example: “Guapo /guapa”. In the Dominican Republic it is used when you want to express the feeling that you are mad about someone or something. In Spain though, you call a person “guapo/guapa” which means “good looking”. The expression can also be used parallely in different contexts.
