“My favorite thing to do is to go where I’ve never been.” Diane Arbus, US-American Photographer & Writer (1923-1971)

15 young and young-at-heart students from Georgia State University (Atlanta, Georgia) went with us on a journey to places they’ve never been before and spent an intensive program with plenty of site visits and expert talks around Social Justice & Health Disparities in the Dominican Republic at our school in Santo Domingo. They crossed borders, expectations, and beliefs, encountered sorrow, friendship, and laughter. This is what one of the students said:

“… my experience has already been life-changing. I am so thankful you all have welcomed me and my classmates. Muchas gracias por todo!Stacey LaBranche (19)

Thank you, Georgia State University students & faculty, for being with us and for sharing this intensive week with us here at IIC in the Dominican Republic.

Muchas gracias por venir con sus ojos y corazones abiertos. ¡Les extrañamos y esperamos verles de nuevo pronto! ¡Hasta luego!
