Instituto Intercultural del Caribe (IIC) is an internationally accredited language school in the Dominican Republic. Its Spanish courses are accepted by Seton Hill University (Pennsylvania, US) for university credits and by 8 states in Germany for the so-called Bildungsurlaub, the educational leave for professionals.

The school is situated on the north coast of the Dominican Republic in the small beach town of Sosua. The city is famous for its nature sites, incredible beaches and water sports activities. It is located between the Victorian-style built city of Puerto Plata and surfer’s paradise Cabarete, the place to be for surf fans.

Learning German and English at IIC
In addition to Spanish programs, we also offer German and English classes to the locals: regular and intensive group courses, private tuition, preparation courses for the German A1 exam (required for obtaining resident visa), specialized Business courses German and English, in particular for the tourism, hotel, and restaurant industry.
Speaking other languages is a key ability for living in the Dominican Republic with its major focus on the tourism industry as well as for seeking new possibilities abroad. Our goal is to help them create better future opportunities for themselves and their communities.
