Jazz is in the air at the Cabarete Jazz Festival 2025 on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. On June 20 and 21, Cabarete Beach welcomes again renowned performers and artists from the Dominican Republic and abroad.
The event will take place at the sea-fronting Pampillonia Sea Garden. Cabarete is half an hour from Puerto Plata city. It is a unique musical experience that will bring together great exponents of jazz, Caribbean fusion, and contemporary Latin music in an unparalleled setting.
The Jazz Festival opens on Friday, 20 June with a retro event with the performance of Conrad Wittkop playing vinyls from the 70s. Next comes fellow Dominican Mache Mache group with its mix of salsa, funk and urban music.
On Saturday, 21 June, Cuban jazz icon, trumpeter Arturo Sandoval will take the stage together with Paquito D’Rivera, another legend of global jazz. Both are Grammy Award winners. Others performing that evening are Dominican singer-composers Pavel Nuñez, Latvian Pé, and Josean Jacobo will also perform. Duo Finetta is in charge of the intermission moments.
