The NGO Global Coralition has started its new art project to protect marine life: The 14-feet tall sculpture of Atabey, the MotherEarth Spirit in Taino mythology, will be the first of several sculptures of the new Sculpture Marine Garden built in Sosua Bay. Atabey will form a new reef in the bay.
The impressive sculpture is currently to be seen at Playa Sosua.
