The Dominican Republic prolonged its state of National Emergency to avoid the further spread of the corona virus. It will be in place until June 30, due to the latest decision of the Parlament. The country’s borders by land, sea and air are closed since March 19.

National and international events, public shows, cultural, artistic, and sporting events, as well as activity in bars and clubs, among others, are suspended. Universities and schools have changed, if possible, to online tuition.

At present, a nightly curfew is in place, Monday to Sunday from 8pm to 5am.
